Our Tampines Hub – Event Registration

1. General

1.1. By registering for, attending or participating in any programme, activity or event (collectively referred to as an “Event”) organised by the People's Association (PA) or Our Tampines Hub (OTH) through the OTH Event Registration Website, an individual (hereinafter referred to as a “Participant”) is deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of PA.

1.2. Participants below 18 years of age must obtain the consent of their parent or legal guardian before registering for or participating in an Event. The parent or legal guardian must have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions on the Participant's behalf.

1.3. Where an individual registers on behalf of others, he or she is responsible for informing the Participants of these Terms and Conditions and obtaining their agreement, or that of their parent or legal guardian where applicable.

1.4. Participants shall comply with the People's Association Act and its applicable regulations, as well as all relevant rules, directives and instructions issued by PA or its authorised representatives from time to time.

2. Event Registration and Ticketing

2.1. Registration for Events is free and generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability and any specific registration requirements.

2.2. Participants must ensure that all information provided during registration is true, accurate and complete. PA reserves the right to cancel or invalidate any registration containing false, inaccurate or misleading information.

2.3. PA reserves the right to impose registration limits, eligibility requirements and other conditions for individual Events.

2.4. PA reserves the right to cancel or invalidate duplicate registrations, registrations exceeding the permitted ticket allocation, or registrations made in circumvention of the applicable registration requirements.

2.5. Successful registration does not guarantee admission where a Participant fails to comply with the applicable admission requirements or these Terms and Conditions.

2.6. Participants may be required to present a valid electronic or printed ticket, registration confirmation and/or identification document for verification prior to admission.

2.7. Tickets may be transferred to other individuals, provided that the tickets are valid and comply with the applicable admission and eligibility requirements. PA reserves the right to verify the identity or eligibility of ticket holders where necessary. The sale, resale or commercial exploitation of tickets is strictly prohibited.

2.8. PA reserves the right to cancel or invalidate any ticket or registration obtained through unauthorised means, misuse of the registration platform or circumvention of registration requirements.

2.9. Participants who are unable to attend an Event are encouraged to cancel their registration or release their tickets through the registration platform, where such functionality is available, to allow others the opportunity to participate.

2.10. Additional registration, ticketing, admission or participation requirements may apply to individual Events. Such requirements shall be communicated through the relevant Event information or registration platform.

3. Admission and Participation

3.1. Admission to an Event is subject to the production of a valid ticket or registration confirmation, where applicable, and compliance with the prevailing admission requirements.

3.2. Admission times, admission cut-off times and re-entry arrangements may vary depending on the nature and requirements of individual Events. Participants shall comply with the applicable admission arrangements communicated by PA or its authorised representatives.

3.3. Participants shall comply with all reasonable instructions issued by PA staff, authorised personnel, security officers, Event organisers and volunteers to ensure the safety, security and orderly conduct of the Event.

3.4. Participants shall conduct themselves appropriately and be considerate towards other Participants, visitors and members of the public.

3.5. Participants shall take reasonable care of the Event premises, facilities, equipment and installations, and shall not cause damage to the same.

3.6. PA reserves the right to refuse admission, remove or require any Participant to leave an Event or its premises if the Participant:

  • Fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions or instructions issued by authorised personnel;

  • Engages in unsafe, disruptive, offensive, unlawful or inappropriate behaviour;

  • Causes damage to property or poses a risk to the safety and well-being of others; or

  • Acts in a manner detrimental to the enjoyment, safety, security or orderly conduct of the Event.

3.7. PA's decision on admission, removal or participation shall be final, subject to applicable law.

4. Event Changes, Postponement and Cancellation

4.1. PA reserves the right to amend, vary, substitute or withdraw any Event programme, content, performer, activity, venue, schedule, seating arrangement or other Event element where necessary.

4.2. PA may postpone, interrupt, suspend or cancel an Event due to adverse weather conditions, safety or security concerns, operational requirements, unforeseen circumstances or other causes beyond its reasonable control.

4.3. Where practicable, PA will endeavour to inform affected Participants of significant changes, postponements or cancellations through appropriate communication channels.

4.4. To the extent permitted by law, PA shall not be liable for any costs, losses or expenses incurred by Participants arising from such changes, postponements or cancellations.

5. Photography, Videography and Recordings

5.1. Photographs, audio recordings and video recordings may be taken during Events by PA or its authorised representatives for documentation, publicity, promotional, reporting and other related purposes.

5.2. By attending or participating in an Event, Participants acknowledge that their images, likenesses and/or voices may be captured and used by PA in photographs, videos, live broadcasts, publicity materials, publications, websites, social media platforms and other communication channels, subject to applicable laws and PA's Privacy Policy.

5.3. Such materials may be shared with PA's authorised partners, media agencies, contractors and service providers for the purposes stated above.

5.4. Participants shall not make, transmit, broadcast, distribute or commercially exploit any unauthorised audio, visual or audiovisual recording of an Event, including its performances or activities, for commercial or for-profit purposes without PA's prior written consent.

5.5. PA reserves the right to take appropriate action, in accordance with applicable law, against unauthorised recording or commercial exploitation of Event content.

6. Safety, Health and Personal Responsibility

6.1. Whilst reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of Participants, participation in an Event is voluntary and may involve certain inherent risks.

6.2. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit to participate in the relevant Event or activities. Where necessary, Participants are encouraged to seek medical advice before participating.

6.3. Participants shall comply with all safety instructions, procedures and measures implemented by PA or its authorised representatives.

6.4. Participants who feel unwell, experience discomfort or are unable to continue participating in an activity should immediately inform PA staff or authorised personnel.

6.5. Participants shall be responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings and equipment. To the extent permitted by law, PA shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to personal belongings arising from attendance at or participation in an Event.

7. Liability and Indemnity

7.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PA, its related entities, employees, officers, agents, contractors, service providers and Event partners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, death, cost or expense, including indirect or consequential losses, arising from or in connection with a Participant's use of the Event registration platform, attendance at or participation in an Event, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

7.2. Participants shall be responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused by their deliberate, negligent or unlawful acts or omissions.

7.3. To the extent permitted by law, Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless PA, its related entities, employees, officers, agents, contractors and service providers against claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from:

  • Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by the Participant;

  • Any deliberate, negligent or unlawful act or omission by the Participant; or

  • Any damage to property or injury to another person caused by the Participant.

8. Personal Data Protection and Privacy

8.1. PA may collect, use and/or disclose personal data provided during Event registration or participation in accordance with its applicable Privacy Policy and relevant laws.

8.2. Personal data may be collected, used and/or disclosed for purposes including:

  • Processing and managing Event registrations and ticket redemptions;

  • Verifying the identity and eligibility of Participants and facilitating admission to Events;

  • Communicating Event-related information, updates, changes and cancellations;

  • Responding to enquiries, feedback and requests;

  • Conducting surveys, research and analysis to improve programmes and services;

  • Improving user experience on the Event registration platform;

  • Informing Participants of other programmes, activities or Events where the necessary consent has been obtained;

  • Ensuring compliance with these Terms and Conditions; and

  • Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

8.3. Participants are responsible for ensuring that personal data submitted on behalf of other individuals is provided with the necessary authorisation or consent, where required.

8.4. The collection, use and disclosure of personal data shall be subject to PA's prevailing Privacy Policy.

9. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

9.1. PA reserves the right to amend, update, add to or remove any provision of these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice, subject to applicable law.

9.2. The latest version of these Terms and Conditions shall be made available on the Event registration platform.

9.3. Continued use of the Event registration platform, or registration for or participation in an Event following such amendments, shall constitute acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions to the extent permitted by law.

10. Miscellaneous

10.1. Except for the transfer of tickets permitted under Clause 2.7, Participants shall not assign or transfer any of their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without PA's prior written consent.

10.2. Any failure or delay by PA to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of its right to subsequently enforce that provision or any other provision.

10.3. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions.

10.4. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to remain valid and enforceable.

10.5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
